I have been receiving text messages from thumbplay.com, all of the unsolicited. I found this on their website and called the number. I was told that I would not receive any more texts from them. Let's see if they're true to their word.

They blocked my number and because they only found a sign up an no conformation for my number I am receiving 1.50$ refund from them.

It didn't cost me anything because I have text messaging on my phone however I received 7 messages and normal fees are 25cents per message without a text package.

I feel they should be held accountable for their actions. It isn't much but if everyone that was receiving texts got a buck fifty back it would add up after awhile.

Have a good day Brian.

My wife bought a game that signed her up for a $9.99 monthly subscription plan for some ringers (obviously didn't want it). I attempted to cancel through their automated system at the 800 number and that didn't work. They charged her again the next month. I ended up calling and talking to a customer service rep.

Bottom line, make sure you get the text message from them saying "Sorry to see you leave..." That's when you know you won't keep getting charged.
