Green Flash in Detroit/Farmington

Did anyone else notice a green flash of light in the sky Sunday night around 10:20 local time in Detroit or Farmington/Farmington Hills? I was headed home after the Super Bowl, driving south on Orchard Lake just south of I-696 when the entire sky lit up with an eery green light. It looked like extremely bright lightning, but was green instead of the normal whitish-blue.

Just seems kind of weird. Maybe something will come out in the next day or so...

We just saw that tonight at 5 am. It was coming from the clawson troy area, with big flashes of light instead of bolts, more of a ball of green light.

I was driving to a Wings game last night (2009.12.09) from Ohio and saw similar flashes in the sky around 5:30pm. Any explanation what these are?

weird... 3 people have commented on this now, and I have never seen an explanation.

Last night (12/10/2009) was windy & snowing, right? Perhaps the explantion is exploding transformers? That's my best guess so far.
